Biafine is a product range that has been manufactured in France for almost 25 years under the brand Laboratoire Medix. It is used as a prescription for treating wounds and burns. It does not contain any toxic ingredients and it is designed to hydrates skin tissue, softens scars, improves body defences and reduces contamination. It is claimed that this product is safe to use daily.
Biafine is a water based emulsion that cannot be obtained directly, but must be obtained via prescription. It is specifically made for people that are undergoing cosmetic surgery, laser resurfacing, skin cancer effects, chemical burns, mole removal among others. It works in three phases; inflammation, proliferation and maturation and as a liquid, it protects the wounds from further contamination and infection.

- Its anti-aging effects have not been tested however it does not contain any key anti-aging ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acids or Collagens.

- Has been known to be available without prescription online which could be dangerous if not used properly

Conclusive research shows that Biafine is great in aiding the healing of skin burns. However its effectiveness as an anti-ager is debatable. The key ingredients such as Matrixyl or Argireline are not included however this product is not primarily used as an anti-ager.
