Elicina Skin Care – Review
Elicina Skin Care Review
Overview
The Elicina product range does not come into existence through any form of scientific research or through any intellectual means. The cream came up as a result of the effects of secretions from Helix Aspersa Muller snails where it had a healing and soothing effect on the body of the farm workers anytime they experienced minor cut or abrasion on their body and where in many cases, healing time improved compared to an average wound treatment.
However, when further research was carried out on the snail’s secretion, it was discovered to have healing properties on human skin. This conclusive research gave birth to the Elicina range of body products, which is a topical treatment for a number of skin conditions as well as reducing the visible signs of aging.
Positives:
- It is a pure natural product that contains collagen and elastins
- The price is affordable and the product is easy to find
- The cream does not have any known side effects
Negatives:
- It does not consider skin types
- Key anti – aging products like Argireline or Matrixyl 3000 are not included for repairing damaged or visibly aged skin.
- No ingredient to support collagens by protecting the skin (ie Hyaluronic Acid)
Ingredients:
Allantoin, glycolic acid, collagen, elastin, natural antibiotic peptides, vitamins and proteins, natural antibiotics.
Actual Customer Feedback:
“…After about 2 weeks of using Elicina the pimples started getting smaller, weren’t as red and didn’t hurt as much. It didn’t get rid of my acne entirely – I didn’t continue to use it after I had finished the jar as it was a bit dear for me – but it leaves the skin beautiful.” Taken from Acne dot org
“Elicina- crema de caracol, I bought this product when it first came out for my stretch marks. I saw the ad on tv so I called and it was expensive but was desperate to get rid of my stretch marks but it does not work… What a waste of money…” Taken from Acne dot org
Our Conclusion:
Some very contrasting opinions with the Elicina range. But in terms of its effectiveness no review has been overly supportive with the results being relatively neutral. Interesting ingredients used such as snail secretion but you’d better start practicing your explanation to customs when they pull you over!
