Eb5 Review

Overview

EB5 is multipurpose wrinkle cream, throat cream, firming cream and 24 hour Moisturizer and Make–up base, all combined into a single jar. It was developed by a Pharmacist/Chemist called Robert Heldfond. It contains many of the ingredients that can be found in much more expensive creams like Vitamins E,A,D and B5 and it is non greasy which make fits perfectly into the skin, leaving the face and neck smooth and good looking.

EB5 is cream designed for all ages and skin types. It basically used for the treatment of facial lines, crow feet and feather lips, it is economical and it works

Positives:

The ingredients are well known and they are published online

It is very affordable

It contains Vitamins C and E

Negatives:

Vitamin E is a known irritant to sensitive skin

All in one approach does no allow key areas such as the eyes to be targeted effectively.

No 100% Guarantee available

It does no contain Hyaluronic acid, Argireline or Matrixyl as key anti-aging ingredients

No use of a Collagen Complex

Ingredients:

According to the company website, this Facial Cream contains the following ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Deionized Water, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Stearic Acid, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Panthenol, Allantoin, Retinyl Palmitate, Cholecalciferol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben and Propylparaben.

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I like this cream, but the only problem I have with it is its ability to make me sweat my makeup off. I put on a light coating under my makeup and it makes my foundation roll off. Its a great moisturizer, I use it at night, and on my neck. I dont recommend using under your foundation unless you have extremely dry skin. It is completely skin friendly though and non-irritating. Also, fragrance free, which is hard to find” Taken from Amazon

“Have been using the cream for about a month and have seen a slight change in my complexion. I am still hoping I will get better results in the coming months.” Taken from Amazon

“I have been massaging the eb5 Facial cream on every AM & PM for almost a month. It seems to have improved the appearance of the fine lines around the mouth.” Taken from Amazon

Our Conclusion

The problem we have with this product is that it is an all round cream. We like to see dedication creams for specific areas to ensure effectiveness. Sure they make take a little longer in regards to application the effects are usually better as a result. Such an opinion has been supported by reviewers where many were struggling to see or feel an astounding or noticeable effect.

Imedeen Review

Overview

Imedeen belongs to a line of skin care supplements founded by a Danish company called Ferrosan. The products were created in 1999 and varies from traditional skin care poroducts by looking at repairing the skin internally by creating a capsule based supplement that can be taken orally rather than topically. Although it’s largest user base is in Europe, Imedeen is available in 50 markets worldwide.

Imedeen is touted to be another alternative for fighting wrinkles and is required to be taken daily in order for it to have an impact on wrinkles and fine lines. It offers three different options; time protection tablets, prime renewal tablets, tan optimizer tablets.

Positives:

It may be used as an enhancer to other skin care regimen.

Educative and elaborate website

It has a great number of positive feedback

The tablets contains anti – oxidants

The website left notable contact information

Negatives:

The product cannot be used alone

Little is known about the ingredients

No free trial available

No money back guarantee

Had become out done by resveratrol options

Ingredients:

Vitamin C, Biomarine Complex, LycoPhence GS, Proprietary Blend (soy fiber (soybeans), lycopene (tomato fruit extract), grape seed extract, silicon dioxide), microcrystalline cellulose, fish, soybeans

Our Conclusion

A great concept and ease of use in unmatched. However with the explosion of resveratrol supplements on the market this product is hard to recommend. It may have its current loyal user base but Resveratrol is the way anti-aging supplements are heading.

Reclaim review

Overview

Reclaim belongs to the range of product variants created by a notable author, actress and producer, Victoria Principal. The creator of this product has developed a passion for skin care products during her foray into the show biz world. Therefore, she created an industry that specialises in the creation and distribution of the Reclaim products range, now an internationally recognised skin care and cosmetics company.

The Reclaim products range is a complete anti aging skin care formula that is able to keep the skin healthy and give it a youthful appearance by fighting off wrinkles and fine lines. One noticeable item on the Reclaim products range is Argireline, it has been reported to be very effective in getting rid of unwanted lines and creases.

Known for its Principle Secrets line of anti-aging creams.

Positives:

It contains Argireline

It is a combination of multiple products and it an effective treatment against wrinkles.

It is inexpensive

Negative:

The complete lists of ingredients are not known

The multiples steps required for good result can be tedious

It necessary to purchase multiple products for effective result resulting in a greater expense.

Frequent examples of this product causing irritations or breakouts. Check ingredients or consult a skin professional if your unsure if the ingredients will adversely affect your skin.

Ingredients

Jojoba oil, lipids and marine algae, amino peptide

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I’ve been a user of this brand for years. It’s non greasy, light and a lovely scent. It truly softens the skin and reduces wrinkles. I also like it as the night version does not have spf like the day cream. I’m allergic to the chemicals in the spf formulations. I love the Principle Secrets line but I don’t always like to have to buy quarterly/annual but as I need it…” Taken from Amazon

“I have been using the Principal Secret line on and off for the last 15 years.. I naturally wanted to try the Reclaim.. I have gone back to the Advanced line… The packaging is similiar to her other products though there is less in the jar for the money making Reclaim a costly investment. I HATE the smell and use over time did not make it any more appealing. It absorbed quickly, but my skin felt tight and dry duing the day. The cream itself is light, but I feel that I have to use more to feel moisturized which only makes the tight and dry feeling worse later in the day. It is a Catch 22. Bottom line, Reclaim does not fulfill its promises and is more hype than science…” Taken from Makeup Alley

“I am 48 with dry skin with rosacea The occasional product will cause break outs but I’m not overly sensitive. The whole reclaim line made my skin tight, dry with cystic acne. Never seen anything like it…” Taken from Makeup Alley

Our Conclusion

The fact that this product contains Argireline is a great thing. We know its anti-aging properties however there seems to be a certain level of discomfort whether it be texture or smell expressed by some of the users. There has also been many cases of this product causing adverse skin reactions among users so we do recommend you check the full ingredients to ensure it does not contain an irritant specific to your skin.

Overview

Remede skin care products were first started in 1997 by a French chemist. The Remede range of products is a solution to skin disorders that have occurred as a result of past injuries and also offers protection against further skin damage.

Included in the product range is
1. The Laboratoire Remede Complete Treatment Anti-Aging Oil Control
2. Laboratoire Remede Complete Treatment Anti-Aging Wrinkle Control.

Positives

It contains state of the art moisturizer

It contains an advanced toner

Negatives

Price – The products are very expensive

The website has a low response rate

No research has been performed

No Free Trial Available

No use of Collagens or Peptides

No sign of key anti-aging ingredients such as Argireline or Hyaluronic Acid.

Ingredients

Water (aqua) Glycerin, Squalane, Butylene Glycol, Decyloxazolidinone, Steareth-21, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Cetearyl Octanoate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Germ Extract, Algae Extract, Myreth-3 Myristate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Cupressus Sempervirens Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Oil, Yeast Extract (Faex), Fagus Sylvatica Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Hydrolyzed Sesame Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, Hydrogenated Lanolin, Polyacrylamide, Methylparaben, Chlorphenesin, Steareth-2, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Sodium Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance (Parfum), Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Urea, Glucosamide HCL, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/dicaprate, Xanthum Gum, Laureth-7, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Carbomer, BHT, Mica and Titanium Dioxide.

Actual Customer Feedback:

“This is a great moisturizer that smells amazing and absorbs quickly and completely in to your skin. It’s pricey but a little goes a long way.” Portion taken from Buzzillions

“I have dry/combination skin and love this moisturizer! It is the perfect balance for my skin type. I am normal/mildly oily on my nose, but dry everywhere else and this cream has definitely helped even out my skin nicely.” Portion taken from Buzzillions

Our Conclusion

Well priced and has had good reviews all round. We are still not entirely convinced due to the ingredients as it lacks any form of collagen complex or an anti-ager such as Argireline, Matrixyl 3000 or even Hyaluronic Acid.

Thermage Review

Overview

Thermage treatment is based on the premises that the skin is made up of three layers that includes collagen strands and it believed that heating the underlying layer of collagen in the skin will cause a tightening effect and the tightening effects will stimulate new collagen for the skin to look and feels smoother and tighter.

The heats energy is delivered through a handpiece to the deeper parts of the skin (dermis). The handpiece is also equipped with cooling spray that protects the superficial part of the skin (epidermis) from injury. The heat energy passed will create contracting effects on the deeper tissues; this will decrease the appearance of lines. New collagen will eventually developed to give a new and firmer appearance to the skin.

The advantage of Thermage over others is that it does not cause damage to skin surface, unlike laser resurfacing and it a minimal side effects, treatment can take up to some hours, depending on the scope of the treatment, patient can even return back to work same day, unlike laser resurfacing or facelifts that can weeks for recovery and it live no traces of scar. But it is a very painful procedure which involves the use of anesthetic cream.

Positives:

The service can be offered in several locations

It is advertised as a painless procedure

It has a very little recovery time

Negatives:

There may not be any money back guarantee

It is an expensive procedure

Some have described the experience as being extremely painful. This will vary from person to person.

It is not a permanent treatment

Ingredients:

N/A

Actual Customer Feedback:

“Had Thermage about 3 years ago but noticed no difference until about 4 months, then I started seeing a very slight improvement in my skin for about a year, then it was gone. Then I tried botox and restylane with far better results. Next time I’d rather spend my money on a brow lift or a mini-lift. Thermage is a total waste of money…” Taken from Acne dot org

“I got a good result immediately and have seen some more changes over the last 4 months. Hubby and family keep commenting. Very natural effect and the procedure wasn’t all that bad.” Taken from Acne dot org

Our Conclusion

A little invasive for our liking. Usually when a company states that such a procedure is pain free that is extremely relative and varies from person to person, similar to that of laser hair removal. For a more non evasive and less intensive treatment stick to a top anti-aging cream like Clear Lift Ultra.

MD Forte Review

Overview

The MD Forte range products are manufactured by Allergan, the same company that produces Botox. It is a product line that focuses on using sugar cane derived Alpha – hydroxyl acid as a major ingredient for the treatment of skin conditions such as sun damage and hyper pigmentation. The primary ingredient in the MD Forte products is Glycolic Acid which is reported to offer better results than other variations of alpha hydroxyl acids.

Due to the high concentration of Alpha – hydroxyl acid in MD Forte products, it can only be dispensed on a physician’s advice.

Positives:

MD Fortes website has an educative arrangement where a potential user can do a self diagnosis of skin type and the product that is right for you.

There is significant scientific trial on the products.

The product can be purchased from manufacture’s website.

Negatives:

The product could be difficult to obtain, because it can only be obtained on prescription.

Glycolic acid can make skin extra – sensitive to sun damage

It does not contain peptides or collagens

Facial Cleanser, Replenish Hydrating Cleanser, Facial Lotion, Cream, Skin Rejuvenation Lotion, Replenish Hydrating Cream, Advance Hydrating Complex Cream, Total Daily Protector SPF 15, Environmental Protector Cream SPF 30, Skin Rejuvenation Eye Cream, Skin Rejuvenation Hydra-Masque, and Glycare Perfection Gel, vitamins A and E, Purified Water, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Glycolic Acid (and ) Ammonium Glycolate, Glycerin, Disodium Cocamphodiacetate, Ammonium Cholride, Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Methylparaben (and) Propylparaben

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I had clear skin most all the way through High School then suddenly when I turned 17 I had severe Acne… so severe Accutane barely worked. My dermatologist(one of the best in the nation) sells the whole MD Forte line… We all found it effective and not nearly as irritating as products like Retin A or harsh over the counter face wash. The face wash is detergent free so not at all drying and I found this particular product good for oily skin since it is a gel.” Portion taken from Amazon

Our Conclusion:

Much more of an Acne cream than an anti-ager. Must be prescribed by a medical or skin professional. Difficult (and unfair) to compare with dedicated anti-aging products.

Emu Oil Review

Overview

Emu oil is a natural oil that has been used by the Australia Aborigines to reduce the pain and swelling of arthritis as well as heal wounds and burns of all categories but is also known to be a great moisturizer being gentle on skin as well as possessing the ability to rejuvenate dead skin.

Emu Oil has a non greasy and highly penetrating properties, scientifically proven to be the fastest deep cleansing product, making it an excellent trans–derma carrier for added moisturizers and other active ingredients. It is non – toxic and does not block or clog the skin’s pores.

Positive:

It is good for skin hydration

Great for wounds and injuries

Has been proven to help relieve eczema and acne

Designed to reduce pain and inflammation caused by arthritis.

Negatives:

It may not adequately address problems relating to aging.

The website does not contain enough information.

No free trial sample.

No use of collagens or a collagen complex

No use of key anti-aging ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid

Ingredients

Vitamin E
Vitamin A
Linoleic acid
Oleic acid
Sapogens
Terpines

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I was looking for something for forehead wrinkles. After 10 years of products that did nothing, I found emu oil and it works great!” – Taken from Emu Oil Guide

“I LOVE how moisturizing this oil is… but it clogs my pores pretty badly. It says that it won’t clog pores in the description, but it seems like the culprit is this oil…” Taken from Emu Oil Guide

Our Conclusion

Most of the feedback has been quite positive. Has a number of good uses along with being an anti-aging product and is also known to go a long way with a very little amount. Unfortunately does not have proven anti-aging ingredients or collagens as found in the top anti-aging products.

Korres Review

Overview

Korres was founded in Greece about 20 years ago, by George Korres. The product was formulated as a result of the determination of its present owner to create his own range of homeopathic products successfully doing so by creating the Korres range of products in 1996. The products range was created as natural skin care that uses only the finest organic ingredients like yogurt, thyme honey, sugar, almond oil, and guava. The Korres range of product offers around 150 skin and hair products based on natural plant extract and they have been clinically tested and contain no synthetic ingredients.

The Korres product range includes unique products for men and women of styles and includes but not limited to:

Alpine Herbs Anti-Stress Energizer, Lemon Anti-Shine Gel, Evening Primrose Eye Cream, White Tea Facial Fluid Gel Cleanser.

Positives:

Price – reasonably affordable

Products range are all natural, it does not contain any artificial colorants

The product is very safe and contains no well known irritants

Negatives:

The product does not contain Hyaluronic acid, Argireline or Matrixyl 3000

No use of Collagens or a specific Collagen Complex

No product for acne treatment

The packaging is not attractive

Some of the ingredients are from species that are on the verge of extinction.

Ingredients:
WILD ROSE
THYME HONEY
RYE
SUGAR
EYEBRIGHT
GUAVA
Boutylene glycol
L-arginine

Actual Customer Feedback:

“I couldn’t love this moisturizer more and I’m very sad to say I’m nearly halfway through it… It’s fresh and rosy, with a cool, watery texture that sinks into your skin fast but leaves behind an amazing, greaseless sheen. I do wish this had a higher SPF than 6, but the scent, feel and performance are great.” Taken from Eco Salon dot com

“…started using the Korres Lecithin Nourishing Cream. It’s anti-wrinkle and they gave it to me at the Original Korres Pharmacy in Greece, when I went for Easter. I use it at night and it’s just as excellent as the La Prairie Cellular Night Cream for which, I had been paying 110$,while this one is only around 35$ I think.” Portion taken from Amazon

Our Conclusion

Feedback for Korres products has generally been quite positive. However it does not have the key anti-aging ingredients available in the top anti-aging products. We would like to see the incorporation of a collagen complex of some sort as well as either Argireline or possibly Matrixyl 3000 for repair and support.
