Overview

The MD Forte range products are manufactured by Allergan, the same company that produces Botox. It is a product line that focuses on using sugar cane derived Alpha – hydroxyl acid as a major ingredient for the treatment of skin conditions such as sun damage and hyper pigmentation. The primary ingredient in the MD Forte products is Glycolic Acid which is reported to offer better results than other variations of alpha hydroxyl acids.

Due to the high concentration of  Alpha – hydroxyl acid in MD Forte products, it can only be dispensed on a physician’s advice.

Positives:

  • MD Fortes website has an educative arrangement where a potential user can do a self diagnosis of skin type and the product that is right for you.
  • There is significant scientific trial on the products.
  • The product can be purchased from manufacture’s website.

Negatives:

  • The product could be difficult to obtain, because it can only be obtained on prescription.
  • Glycolic acid can make skin extra – sensitive to sun damage
  • It does not contain peptides or collagens

Our Conclusion:

Much more of an Acne cream than an anti-ager. Must be prescribed by a medical or skin professional. Difficult (and unfair) to compare with dedicated anti-aging products.
